This is my first proper blog entry on this site.
I have now got the website themed in a way I am happy with.
It was a pain to get to this point, mainly due to my lack of knowledge of more complex HTML and complete lack of knowledge of CSS.
However, by basing the theme for this website off a pre-existing theme, and tweaking the colours to my preferences, I have managed to make something I think is OK.
It was very frustrating at times though, trying to figure out why things weren't working. I especially had difficulty with the theming for the navigation bar.
I just hope I don't feel the need to change up the design of this site some time later on.
I have put the first bit of content on this site, including the blog post you are reading now, and the first two links on the links page.
The first link goes to my Bluesky profile, which I use for posting anything and everything. Currently, it mostly consists of interesting short clips from YouTube, mostly of old TV programmes.
It also has a couple of posts about other things, including stuff from video games, dumb things I've seen on the internet, and at least two posts talking about forming a religion to worship the Bell System :D.
Other features include the odd bit of art, occasional memes, and some other stuff, including various opinion posts!
The second link on the page goes to my YouTube channel, which I use in a similar manner.
It has a couple of videos featuring some of my old tech, some old archive footage that I have either saved from being lost to time or restored in some way.
It also features a couple of more random "for fun" videos.
That's all I've got for this blog post, so I'm going to wrap it up here.
At some point I will link this website from my Bluesky profile, and my YouTube channel.
I may wait until there is a bit more to see on here though.
